Horse Racing News Update: Graded-Stakes Winner Casa Creed Retires at Age 8

In a significant development in the world of horse racing, the multiple graded-stakes winner Casa Creed has been retired at the age of 8, as reported by the Daily Racing Form. The son of Jimmy Creed, trained by the renowned Bill Mott, had compiled an impressive career record of 36 starts, with 9 wins, 5 seconds, and 6 thirds, amassing total earnings of $2,691,308.

Retirement Due to Injury

Casa Creed’s retirement comes after he developed a problem with the suspensory branch of a hind ankle. As Mott explained to the Daily Racing Form:

“It was starting to bug him. He’s sound now, turned out, we don’t want to push him any further.”

Impressive Career

During his illustrious career, Casa Creed secured six graded-stakes victories, including the prestigious Fourstardave (G1) in 2022 and 2023, as well as the Jaipur (G1) in 2021 and 2022. His most recent start was a fourth-place finish in the Poker (G3) event, following a sixth-place result in the Al Quoz Sprint (G1) at Meydan in March.

Potential Stallion Prospect

Casa Creed’s owners, LRE Racing and JEH Racing Stable, are now considering potential stallion prospects for the talented gelding. As Mott stated, “it’d be nice if somebody gave him an opportunity as a stallion prospect.”

This retirement marks the end of an era for the accomplished racehorse, and the horse racing community will undoubtedly remember Casa Creed’s impressive performances and his contributions to the sport.
