Cogburn Works Ahead of Troy (G2) at Saratoga
Saratoga, NY, August 16, 2023 – In the latest Horse Racing News, Cogburn, the 5-year-old son of Not This Time who is 2-for-2 in graded stakes this year, worked Tuesday morning at Saratoga ahead of a planned start in Saturday’s Troy (G2) at the Spa.
Trained by Steve Asmussen, Cogburn was 6-for-12 coming into the year. Then he won the Twin Spires Turf Sprint (G2) in May and the Jaipur (G1) in June, both by open lengths. He also won the Troy last year. Cogburn breezed three furlongs in 37.75 seconds Tuesday on Saratoga’s dirt training track and was the only worker at the distance.
