Exclusive Horse Racing News Update: Aidan O’Brien’s Juvenile Fillies Shine at Royal Ascot
In the world of horse racing, all eyes were on Aidan O’Brien’s juvenile fillies after their impressive performances at Royal Ascot. Jockey Ryan Moore, who rode both fillies to victory, shared his insights on the promising young horses.
Fairy Godmother, the winner of the Albany Stakes on Friday, leapt to the top of the betting odds for next year’s 1000 Guineas. The filly overcame significant trouble in running to surge late and claim the victory, showcasing her impressive speed and natural talent.
However, Fairy Godmother’s position as the Guineas favorite was short-lived, as her stablemate Bedtime Story produced a stunning win in the Chesham Stakes the following afternoon. Moore was equally impressed with Bedtime Story’s performance, noting that she had not been asked to do as much in her previous outings.
“The filly who won the Albany, she’s a very fast horse who has always shown us to be very natural,” said Moore. “We were a bit surprised when she got beaten the first day, she’s always done a lot and been there. She’s a very good two-year-old.”
Regarding the comparison between the two fillies, Moore remained cautious, stating:
“The other filly is a different type. I don’t think Aidan had asked as much of her just yet and that was the first time she was really asked on Saturday. She was impressive.”
When pressed to pick a favorite, Moore emphasized the early stages of the fillies’ careers, saying:
“If you want me to tell you which one is better, I don’t know. It’s very early days for them. Its three and two runs for each respectively and we’ll see what they do in the next couple of months. They are something to look forward to.”
As the racing world eagerly anticipates the future performances of these talented fillies, the coming weeks and months will undoubtedly provide more exciting developments in the lead-up to the prestigious 1000 Guineas.
