Gosdens Set to Strike Again with Emerging Juveniles
The renowned training duo of John and Thady Gosden are poised to make their mark on the juvenile racing scene, with several promising young horses set to take to the track in the coming days.
It’s no secret that the Clarehaven operation often takes a patient approach with their two-year-olds, preferring to bide their time rather than rushing them into early-season action. This strategy has reaped significant rewards, with the Gosdens responsible for a dozen Group 1 winners in recent years – a testament to their exceptional training methods.

Glistening
Glistening, a Frankel filly owned by Juddmonte, is set to feature in a seven-furlong contest at Yarmouth on Thursday. The youngster’s full-sister, Quadruple, recently made a winning debut for Ger Lyons in Ireland, adding to the anticipation surrounding Glistening’s first outing.
Wicked and Aegean Sea
Friday’s action at Sandown will see the introduction of two promising Kingman colts, Wicked and Aegean Sea, both of whom boast impressive pedigrees. Wicked, a 600,000 guineas yearling purchase for Wathnan Racing, is closely related to 2000 Guineas winner Magna Grecia and half-brother to the outstanding sire St Mark’s Basilica. Aegean Sea, meanwhile, impressed on his debut at Sandown last month, suggesting he could be a colt to follow.
Pantile Warrior
Completing the quartet is Pantile Warrior, another Frankel colt, who could also make his bow at Sandown on Friday. The half-brother to Group 2 winner Beshaayir has caught the eye at home and may represent the Gosden team’s best chance of an early-season juvenile winner.
With the stable’s reputation for producing top-class racehorses, these four youngsters will undoubtedly be the subject of keen interest from racing enthusiasts. As the new season gathers pace, the Gosdens’ ability to unearth and develop exceptional talents will once again be put to the test.
