Royal Ascot Update: Hannon’s Guineas Stars Rosallion and Haatem Primed for Success
Unibet ambassador and renowned racehorse trainer Richard Hannon has provided an exciting update on some of his stable’s top contenders heading to the prestigious Royal Ascot meeting.
Hannon, known for his success in training classic-winning horses, is particularly eager about the prospects of Rosallion and Haatem, his talented duo who recently finished first and second in the Irish 2000 Guineas.
“Rosallion and Haatem have been in fantastic form since their epic battle in the Irish Guineas,” Hannon revealed. “They’ve really thrived in the lead-up to Royal Ascot, and I couldn’t be happier with how they’re shaping up for their respective engagements.”
Rosallion, the winner of the Irish Classic, is being targeted for the St. James’s Palace Stakes, a prestigious mile-long contest for three-year-old colts. “Rosallion has really matured since his Guineas victory,” Hannon noted. “He’s shown tremendous versatility and grit, and I’m confident he’ll put in another big performance at Royal Ascot.”
Meanwhile, Haatem, the runner-up in the Irish 2000 Guineas, is being lined up for the Jersey Stakes over seven furlongs. “Haatem was unlucky to just miss out in Ireland, but he’s bounced back incredibly well,” Hannon said. “The drop back in distance should suit him, and I’m hoping he can go one better at Royal Ascot and claim a Group-level triumph.”
With Rosallion and Haatem set to fly the flag for Hannon’s stable, racing enthusiasts can look forward to an exhilarating clash of the classic generation at the iconic Royal Ascot meeting.
