Imperially Bred Filly I Found You Dominates Debut at Randwick Kensington

In the latest horse racing action, the imperially bred filly I Found You made a stunning debut at Randwick Kensington, giving co-trainer Peter Snowden a triumphant Yuletide-like performance.

The $1.3 million yearling purchase, I Found You is a daughter of the prolific sire I Am Invincible out of the mare Listen Here, making her a half-sister to the accomplished stallions Shooting To Win and Deep Field. She wasted no time showcasing her family’s inherent abilities, delivering an emphatic 3-3/4 length victory in the James Squire Handicap (1150m) on Wednesday.

“She has been like a Christmas present under the tree, I’ve been waiting for three weeks to open her,” Snowden said. “She has got talent and she’s from a great family. She is a half to Deep Field and Shooting To Win by I Am Invincible.”

Despite her young age, Snowden believes I Found You is still maturing and expects her to reach her peak in the upcoming autumn racing season.

“She is still a bit immature….and I’m sure the autumn is when you’ll see the best of her,” he said. “We will probably give her another run or two now and give her a good education and grounding.”

I Found You’s dominant debut triumph was part of a race-to-race double for the Snowden stable, with another well-bred youngster, Braveheart, breaking his maiden in the TAB Handicap (1150m). Also by I Am Invincible, Braveheart is a full brother to the stable’s talented sprinter King Of Sparta, and the connections are excited about his future potential.

“We really liked him as a yearling, but he went through a spurt there where he lost it a little bit. He is on his way again now,” Snowden said. “I think he can go on with it.”

With these impressive wins, the Snowden Racing stable has undoubtedly sparked excitement in the horse racing community, showcasing the talents of their young, imperially bred stars.
