Thrilling Horse Racing News: Kingman Filly Shines in Classic Pursuit

The talented daughter of renowned sire Kingman has been making waves in the world of horse racing, showcasing her exceptional abilities on the track.

After scooping Classic honours back in May, the filly has continued to impress, finishing a respectable fourth in the prestigious Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. Undeterred, she then went on to test her mettle at the longer 10-furlong distance in Goodwood’s Nassau Stakes, once again securing a fourth-place finish, just over three lengths off the winner.

Trainer’s Perspective

Trainer Ralph Varian is thrilled with the filly’s recent performances, taking great encouragement from her competitive showings despite the defeats. “She’s doing really well, and I couldn’t be more pleased with her at the moment,” Varian remarked.

The trainer is now considering the next step for his stable star, and it appears the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on October 5th is the likely target. “I think most likely we will wait for the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket. I think back in trip, hopefully on a bit of autumn ground, it all makes sense to head there, back to the course and distance of her Guineas win,” Varian explained.

Aiming for Group One Glory

While the filly hasn’t added another Group One victory to her tally since her Guineas triumph, Varian remains confident in her abilities, describing her recent runs as “two Group One performances.” He believes the Sun Chariot will provide the perfect challenge for his stable star, and he is optimistic that she will secure another coveted Group One title in the near future.

Fans of horse racing will undoubtedly be eagerly awaiting the filly’s next outing, as she continues her pursuit of glory on the prestigious racing circuit. Stay tuned for more updates on this talented Kingman offspring as she embarks on her next chapter.
