Iconic Siena Farm in Kentucky Listed for Sale, Racing Partnerships to Remain
In the heart of Central Kentucky, the renowned Siena Farm, a 262-acre horse property, has been listed for sale, as reported by Thoroughbred Daily News. According to Ryan Smith, the chief operating officer, the stable will maintain its racing partnerships despite the sale.
History and Facilities of Siena Farm
Siena Farm was established as a boutique breeding operation, founded by Anthony Manganaro in partnership with Nacho Patino and David Pope. Manganaro, who purchased the property in 2007, unfortunately passed away last August at the age of 79.
The diverse property features an impressive array of equestrian facilities, including:
- 65 stalls across five barns
- 8 large fields
- 29 paddocks
- A six-bedroom main residence
- A three-bedroom farm manager’s home
- Two more employee residences
- Two dormitories that can accommodate two people each
Neighboring the farm are the renowned Claiborne, Stone, and Machmer Hall facilities.
Sale and Continued Operations
While the listing by Biederman Real Estate does not disclose the asking price, the sale of Siena Farm has been a bittersweet process for the team. As Ryan Smith expressed:
“Preparing to sell the farm has been very difficult for us all, but the process and marketing material has reminded us how grateful and proud we are to have played a part in building this farm under Anthony’s vision.”
However, he also shared the team’s excitement to continue their racing partnerships and maintain the Siena name in the industry.
The sale of this iconic Kentucky horse farm will undoubtedly be of great interest to the equestrian community, particularly those involved in breeding and racing operations. As the details of the listing emerge, horse racing enthusiasts will eagerly await news of the farm’s future and the continued success of the Siena racing partnerships.
