Jockey Brad Parnham Doubles Down at Belmont

Jockey Brad Parnham continued his impressive run of form over the weekend, guiding home two winners at Belmont Park on Saturday. Parnham’s double has propelled him to fourth position in the Perth jockey premiership, with his season tally now standing at 53 city winners.

Parnham’s first winner of the day came aboard the Stephen Miller-trained two-year-old, Elite Missile. Returning to the track since his outing in the Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic (1200m) in February, Elite Missile secured his maiden victory at his fourth career start, finishing strongly over the 1400m journey.

“It was a very nice win, and I’d expect him to carry that form into his next run and potentially as a three-year-old for better races,” Parnham commented.

The jockey’s second victory came aboard the Dan Morton-trained filly, Objectify. Parnham has been aboard Objectify from the beginning and has been impressed with the horse’s progression, with the filly now two-from-two this preparation and three wins overall from four career starts.

“She’s progressed through nicely, and I’m really happy with her,” Parnham said. “She won very nicely again, and I think she’ll progress to better races as she goes on with her career. All-round, she’s a pretty nice racehorse, does everything right, and has a nice turn of foot.”

With Parnham’s successful day at the office, he has cemented his position as one of the leading jockeys in the Perth riding premiership. Trainers and punters alike will be keeping a close eye on the talented hoop as the racing season continues to unfold.
