Tony Sears praised his daughter and training partner, Maddysen, for her dedicated work with the horse, saying, “Maddysen does all the work with this horse, all credit goes to her.” The Sears duo had identified the Ipswich Cup as a long-range target for Red Wave, and their confidence in the horse’s ability on a dry surface proved well-founded.
