Exciting Workout Updates at Santa Anita and Beyond
The horse racing world is buzzing with activity as top contenders gear up for upcoming events. In the latest training updates, several notable racehorses put in impressive workouts across North America.
At Santa Anita Park, Anisette, the three-time Grade 1 winner (2024 Gamely, 2023 American Oaks, 2023 Del Mar Oaks), worked four furlongs in 49.0 seconds on Monday morning. This was the 38th fastest of 65 works at the distance and Anisette’s first workout since her last race, where she won the Gamely Stakes (G1) on May 27.
Another Santa Anita standout, Easter, a two-time Grade 2 winner (2023 San Gabriel, 2023 Seabiscuit Handicap), turned heads with a bullet four-furlong work in 46.8 seconds, the fastest of 65 works at that distance. Easter was last seen finishing sixth in the Shoemaker Mile (G1) on May 27.
Across the country at Saratoga, Andthewinneris, the Grade 2 Bourbon Stakes champion, clocked a quick four-furlong breeze in 48.0 seconds, the fastest of 50 works at that distance. The Oscar Performance colt most recently placed seventh in the American Turf Stakes (G2) at Churchill Downs on May 6.
